1. Tell them you need more.
Whether this is or is not true it will always be a good way to end a lot of fuck buddy relationships if you say that you need more than just sex and casual friendship from them or any other sexual partner current or future. If you take this tack and are lying though take a moment to consider what you will do if they turn out to also be willing to take the relationship further too. If this is actually not what you want at all be prepared to make more excuses or actually tell them the truth of your feelings on the matter. On the other hand if you do feel this way telling them can only be a good thing for you. You will either end the relationship with minimal drama and entanglement but also in the case that they are also looking for more with you you might actually spark off the start of something special.
2. Tell them you are looking for someone else
Again whether this is or is not true it can be effective. There are in fact fewer risks for you if you take this tack and are lying because you will not likely have future complications from this tactic. Unless of course they finds out you are not dating someone else and therefore learn you were lying but even then there are many reasons that could come to pass that will not incriminate you at all. All in all this is a solid option for you but keep in mind that this is harder to do than say. Even in the most emotionally disconnected fuck buddy relationships this will be hard to both express honestly and for the fuck buddy to take. But take a deep breath and remember that you are doing this for the best of both of you. No one is happy with the current relationship situation if you are wanting to end it in the first place. This is best for both of you.
