Should you feel bad for sleeping with someone who’s married?

Is it wrong to sleep with someone who's married?

Feeling bad about sex is about as stupid as feeling bad about breathing. The sexual act is one of the most pleasurable feelings you can ever experience. I always wonder how celibate people can manage. When it comes to sex with someone who’s in a closed relationship a moral dilemma does arise.

Is it wrong if you’re not the one cheating?
I love having sex when there’s a genuine fear of it being illicit and dangerous. It adds an extra spice to the encounter. However I have never (to the best of my knowledge) had sex with someone who’s already married. I have often asked myself if I would given the opportunity and I freely admit to having fantasised about sleeping with a hot older married woman. Yet I’m always brought crashing back to earth when I fear friends tell me stories of how they slept with this really hot chick who happened to be married.

They described sleeping with married women as an addiction in some cases. For them, they needed any relationship with a woman to contain secrets and thrills. The easiest way to get this was to have sex with a woman already married or in a relationship. But after a while a common theme would predominate. They became tired of all the secrecy.

Casual sex Vs Cheating Sex
Being in an open relationship is fine because you’re honest with your sexual partners. Having sex with someone who’s already married just because you’re seeking a thrill is hard to maintain. With casual sex you can still gain the thrills and illicit feelings you seek from having sex with a ‘hot married woman’. Casual sex contains many of the same thrill seeking elements that cheating does but without the unhappy emotional consequences.

Should you feel bad for having sex with someone who’s married?
I’m not here to judge or preach as it’s not my place or right. Whether or not you feel bad about having sex with someone who’s married is entirely down to your own emotional makeup. If you think you can handle it and you feel you’re doing nothing wrong then no one is going to stop you. The only thing I would say is that there are many other ways you can gain the same illicit feelings from sex.
