On Radio 4 this morning Jenny Murray of Woman’s Hour asked the question “Is there such a thing as the ‘perfect’ affair?”
A brave married couple were interviewed where the wife had had an affair. Surprisingly they both agreed that it had put the spark back into their marriage. The wife had told her husband she had been attending a pilates class every Wednesday evening when she met her lover. When her husband discovered this she said that she no longer needed to continue the affair.
They had met through an adult dating website such as F-Buddy.co.uk and after a few weeks had started a regular no strings attached relationship. Websites like these allow consenting adults to meet with one thing in mind.
A press officer from ExplicitEncounters.co.uk was interviewed and said that the majority of people on their website found an affair to be something that helped their relationship. She went on to say that far from encouraging divorce it often prevented it.
