With the growth of the internet and easy access to online video streaming, video porn has exploded. No longer do you have to go to a dodgy looking shop with blacked-out windows in an odd part of town in order to rent or buy your porn videos. In today’s world, you don’t even have to leave the comfort of your room! Fast internet access means that you can now download or stream videos directly to your laptop or television pretty much instantly. In some parts, live streaming can even be in HD without having to wait for a download. This ease of access has meant that watching porn is bigger than ever… but is it better than reading porn?
People read porn less and less partly because they just read less! Television, films, podcasts have replaced reading for the most part. With porn, this has is truer than for other genres. Why read porn when you can have it handed to you without effort? It is far easier to just sit back and watch it. When reading, you have to physically read the words, engage the brain and use your imagination. You often have to fill in the gaps in the visual picture that the words are helping to paint in your mind for that picture to be a complete one. Isn’t this all too much hard work? The answer is yes, but also that it is worth it.
When you read a sexy story or written porn, all that work you put in to engage the imagination helps you to live in the world that is being created all the more fully. As you paint the pictures in your mind, you fully engage with the story and what is happening. If you are imagining yourself in the story, you can see yourself fully, you are not having to try and delete the image of someone else, you start with yourself from the foundation point. All your sexual preferences are also fulfilled subtly by your own mind. If you prefer red heads then the object of your sexual desire will have red hair, if blond then they will have blond hair. If there is a particular way that someone looks at you that turns you on, your mind will make that happen all the more, subtly moulding the story in the words to suit your personal preferences and desires.
Video porn does none of this. It delivers an easy fix, but one of far lower sexual quality than written porn. If you haven’t read a sexual story in a while, or ever, I highly recommend it. You will find it is much more engaging that an online video.
