Online dating is a relatively new thing, it has only been about in force for 10 years, yet it has already become accepted as the norm. The traditional forms of meeting people still very much exist. You can still go out to bars, clubs and dance halls. You can meet people at weddings, through friends, via matrimonial services or face to face single nights. This is what makes inline dating so powerful in comparison to other forms of meeting people. It is the only one where you have such a large amount of people that are exposed to you, and you are exposed to them. If selection really is the biggest factor, then online dating is the only way to go.

Marie Claire recently published several articles detailing how more and more women are going online to look for sex. Based on the rise of women signing up to F-Buddy we would have to agree with Marie Claire's findings. Gone are the days of women being seen as meek and backward when it comes to sex. Here are the days of the modern empowered woman wanting and looking for sex as much as any man.

Trends
General theory held that men outnumbered women on all dating sites. That split has now dropped to a fairly even 50/50. Sites such as ours have all seen a rise in the numbers of women joining. The ability to screen and vet potential hook ups and more is definitely seen as a positive by many women. Most women still feel unable to be open and honest about their desires and feelings for fear of being judged by a society that still throws out nasty labels against women for wanting sex. And that is where the Dating App has helped.

The Media Mislead
Mass media has a large part to play in our changing attitudes towards sex. It is responsible for propagating outdated beliefs and views on sex. Women who are still fighting for equality in many areas are labelled promiscuous by the media if they are seen to be enjoying a healthy sex life with different partners. The future
