Considering we have discussed at length why younger men like sleeping with older women, it seemed logical to reverse the question.

The Cougar & The Stallion
Women love sex just as much if not more then men. I’ve met women who have such a high sex drive it actually terrified me a little…and I’m not easily intimidated by a woman who loves sex as much as I do. When it comes to the older woman then, the question becomes more about quality just as much as quantity. Three things come into play for a woman once she clears 35+:

1. She is a lot more comfortable with who she is and what she wants
2. Professionally and socially she is 99% more likely to be settled then a woman in her 20s is.
3. Her sex drive has either just hit its peak or it is rapidly approaching the peak…and fast!

Taking these three factors into account it was easier for us to get an idea of why we see many women in their 40s and 50s hitting it off with guys in their mid to late 20s. We managed to gather a few sample comments to give you a flavour of what we’re talking about:

These 4 women virtually match about 300+ other statements we found on and in various sex and relationship forums and magazines. The older women like younger men for a number of reasons but the ones that keep cropping up are to do with physical appearance, personal ego, personality and stamina!

Based on what we managed to find out the following reasons came into focus:

1. Personality
2. More encouraging and open minded
3. Better in bed

Now we’re not saying that these are the only reasons why older women like younger men, but they recur more often in the forums and answers we have received from questioning.

Whatever the reason, one thing is clear: if you are enjoying yourself with someone 10 years younger or older then age seems to become kind of irrelevant.

Another day at the office and another hotly debated topic at lunchtime. This one almost caused a fist fight between two of our best writers so invested were they in their arguments. In any case, we decided to plot the finer points of why exactly a 25 year old guy wanted to fuck the brains out of a 44 year old woman.

Experience
One 44 year old woman I know recently told me of a continuing relationship she was having with a 28 year old guy. Her main concern was that the guy was comparing her to all of his younger and (in her mind at least) hotter female friends. I decided to put her straight on a few things by asking another guy I know who has been dating a 47 year old woman – he’s 26.

Here’s how the conversation went:

Me: You’re 26. Why are you attracted to older women?

Him: I can actually sum this up quite simply. Women in their 20s tend to be A) Boring, B) Unintelligent and immature, C) Tend to only want to settle down into a relationship or marriage, D) Don’t really bring much to the bedroom sexually

Me: (long pause whilst I digest what he’s just said) Right. Er…okay so what are the top 3 things that attract you to older women?

Him: A) They know exactly what they want sexually and aren’t afraid to let a guy know where and how they want it, B) A cougar tends to be more self sufficient and doesn’t give a shit about paying for things. Women in their 20s tend to be students or starting out on the career ladder. They’re not as socially active or able to do things that a woman in her 40s can, C) Older woman tend to be much more sexual. They know what buttons to push to get you going and exploring and they aren’t afraid to try loads of different things out.

Me: So it’s mostly about the sex?

Him: Not just that. It’s more about the fact that older women know what they want a lot more then younger women. They’re more confident in their attitudes and opinions and that translates amazingly well to sex. There is far less bullshit.

Me: (longer pause) Surely there have to be some downsides to this?

Him: Yes there are. It can be a bit socially awkward as you’re both at different stages of your life. Our interests and goals will not tend to be similar. Also if they have kids that can be a real challenge to navigate either in a fuck buddy or more serious relationship. Also some older women because they have such assured opinions on the world, tend to stereotype people a lot more then younger women do.

Me: But overall this isn’t enough to stop you from being attracted to a cougar?

Him: No. Not even a little bit. I’m not a complete dick – I know it’s probably not going to be a long term thing, but I tell you this – older women can go for fucking hours and are 10 times more imaginative then younger women. Give me a 20 year old who can do the same and have her call me. Until then I’m sticking to cougar town.

The Older Attraction
So age it seems doesn’t seem to have a barrier for the younger fuck buddy. In fact if you’re a 40+ cougar you’re more likely to attract just as much if not more attention then our younger members.
